Korfes Sheets
Hello,
Next week we are going to Greece and we are going to walk Route 19 Metsovo to Mt Gramos from the book "The Mountains of Greece" from Cicerone. We will walk stage 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. So that's from Metsovo to Fourka.
I have the maps from Anavasi, the one "Zagori" and the one "Valia Kalda".
Now I looked well at the maps, I see the map "Valia Kalda" is more for the last 4 stages (6, 7, 8, 9), so where we won't come.
For stages 4 and 5 I am now missing some map, I think that will be on that Korfes Sheet 155. In the guide mentioned above, stands: "Korfes Sheet 155 for Smolikas, sheets 157 and 158 for Gramos.
I looked on the internet but didn't find any good results where I can get these Korfes Sheets. Does anyone have an idea??
I have a GPS and there are some waypoints given in the description in the guide so I think we will find it though, but a good map is the best thing you can have.

Anavasi Editions, www.mountains.gr have published the best, so far, maps for the greek mountains. For the itinerary you are going to follow, you will need the 3 available maps of Northern Pindos, that is: Valia Calda - Zagori & Smolikas-Grammos (this is their latest edition and it is superb) , they are on 1:50 000 scale, GPS compatible and updated. it will be easy to find and purchace these maps in Greece, all good bookstores do sell them, they cost ~ 7.5Euros/map. I dont know which boekwinkel sells Anavasi maps in Holland, but the reisboekwinkel Zanzibar in Gent-belgie surely does sell them, http://www.atlaszanzibar.be/
The korfes sheet maps are very difficult to find anymore and they are quite old and inaccurate, official selling location is the EOS Aharnon in athens, they publish the Korfes magazine.
